Kevin Bradley Busby (Brad), 29, of Trussville, died at 8:07 p.m. on April 23, 2013 as a result of injuries sustained in a one vehicle accident. He passed away peacefully with his family and friends close by his side. He was born November 28, 1983 in Birmingham, the son of Larry and Becky Busby. He graduated from Hewitt-Trussville High School with the class of 2002. He joined the Army in 2007 and served a tour in Iraq (2008-2009) then in the 1/145th Bravo Company in Fort Rucker, AL. He was medically retired from the United States Army in 2011. He enjoyed spending time with his two boys and family. Brad is survived by his wife, Barbie Busby; his two children, Taylor and Emmett Busby; his parents, Larry and Becky Busby; his brother and his wife, Brian and Brittany Busby; two nephews and one niece, Ethan, Eli and Emma Busby; his aunt and uncle, Kenny and Cary Sue Calhoun; his cousin and his wife, Tim and Laura Calhoun; his in-laws, David and Amy Langner; his brother-in-laws, Jake and Jeb Langner; and his godparents, Don and Rhonda Martin. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Eddie and Mary George Blevins, and maternal grandparents, Buford and Virginia Braswell. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. The funeral will be held at 2pm on Friday, April 26, 2013 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home; burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville. Reverend Jerre Rhoades will officiate. Visitation will be from 12pm until 2pm Friday. Pallbearers will be Brian Busby, Tim Calhoun, Jake Langner, Jeb Langner, Raymond Barrera, Brett Foster, Chad Tillman, and Michael Medici.
