Kenneth Pettis

Kenneth Roy Pettis passed away January 8, 2020. He was born and raised in Wiggins, Mississippi, and lived his adult life in Birmingham, Alabama. He served his country in the US Navy, and afterwards worked for the US Postal Service. He was a long-time member of St. John’s Methodist Church, and later Huffman United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Lela Mae Pettis, his daughter Donna Pettis, sisters Vergie and Carolyn, and brothers Gordon and Charlie. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Joyce daughter Lisa (Tim) Meier, son Jeff Lollar, grandchildren Kate and Dan (Amy) Ackerman and Matthew and Michael Lollar, nephew Brant (Paula) Pettis, great nephew Charlie and great niece Lucy. Graveside service will be held Friday, January 10 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Huffman United Methodist Church.
