Kelly Callen

Kelly Lauren Callen, age 28 of Tuscaloosa, died Sunday, May 12, 2013 in Birmingham, AL. Funeral Services will be 12:00 Noon, May 16, 2013 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bobby Shipp officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 11:00 am until the services at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Survivors include her mother, Rhonda Kelly Callen; her father, William Porter Callen and her sister, Ryan Brooke Callen, all of Trussville. Kelly leaves behind her favorite pets: three cats, Lux, Stella and Bigs. Kelly was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Kelly of Troy, AL and Mr. and Mrs. R.R. Callen, Jr. of Wagarville, AL. Kelly graduated from Jefferson County International Baccalaureate School and UAB, both in Birmingham, AL. She was attending the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa where she was working on a graduate degree in social work. Kelly was interested in photography, drawing, time on the beach and spending time reading in the parks. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, and she loved Alabama Football.
