Kay Plantagenet, of Birmingham, AL, passed away on December 10, 2014. Kay was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, family member, and friend. Kay loved to travel and spend time with her grandchildren. She had a special place in her heart for all animals, especially dogs. Kay rescued many dogs herself off the street and gave them a warm, loving home. Kay is preceded in death by her parents, Rose Christine (Davis) and David Joseph Plantagenet. Kay is survived by her husband, Don Jackson; sister, Jane (Don) Garrison; step daughter, Rebecca (Jean-Claude) LeBlanc; step son, Russell (Mary) Jackson; two grandchildren, Harrison and Mackenzie Jackson; cousin, Barbara (Robert) Edmonson; lifelong friend, Gibson (Hilda) Mosley; many cousins, other family members, friends, and last but not least, Sparky and Spot. The family would like to especially thank Cheryl Linley and the caring staff of Hospice Advantage. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to a humane society or the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Research Fund in memory of Kay Plantagenet.
