Kathleen Sosebee

Kathleen J. Sosebee, age 87 of Gardendale, AL passed away peacefully in her home on April 17, 2016. She graduated from West End High School in 1948. Kathleen was a former member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in West End. She retired from Samford University. Kathleen was preceded in death by her grandson, Jeremy Gilliland. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Major R. "Red" Sosebee; her daughter, Susie Gilliland; two sons, Michael R. Sosebee (Rebecca) and Larry Sosebee (Cindy); six grandchildren: Jeff Gilliland (Crystal), David Sosebee, Aaron Sosebee (Lauren), Kathy Swansen, Major Sosebee (Meagan) and Chris Sosebee; ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Gardens at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19th with a visitation held from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. The family requests that in lieu of flowers please send donations to your local senior center.
