Kathleen Gunter

Kathleen Taylor Gunter, 25, of Trussville, Alabama, returned to her Heavenly Home on Sunday January 7th, 2018. Kathleen was born May 2, 1992 in Naperville, IL, to Layne and Jerri Gunter. She was the 9th of their 11 children. Kathleen attended Hewitt-Trussville where she participated in many extracurricular activities. She enjoyed acting (ACTA), softball, and basketball. She had big aspirations to make it to the big stage, whether that be acting or modeling, she always spoke of being rich and famous one day. She was full of life, personality, and had a big heart. She was always willing to help another in need. The past 3 years, her real pride and joy has been her beautiful daughter Kaliyah Deane. Everything she was working towards was for her. She was the light of her life. As quoted by Kathleen on October 28, 2017, "Oh how I love that sweet girl, I think that's why a man can't ever get my heart anymore because it's all hers". Kathleen is preceded in death by her mother Jerri Deane Gunter. She is survived by her daughter, Kaliyah (E.J.), father Layne (Kazumi), siblings Jamie, Rocky (Jen), Alexis (Suzette), Corina (Vernon), Jeremiah, Jolene (Scott), Gayleen (Adam), Damien, Alma, and Sariah (Riley), 16 nieces and nephews, 32 aunts and uncles, a host of cousins, and lots of friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday January 13, 2018 starting with a viewing from 12-2pm, service at 2pm, followed by a graveside service (for Family and close friends). She will be laid to rest next to her mom. All funeral services will be held at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville, AL. "See You On The Other Side Boobers!"
