Katherine Reed

REED, KATHERINE Age 80, born June 21, 1930 passed away February 10, 2011 surrounded by family. She was very proud of her community as shown by her work with her PTA Garden Club and Birmingham Beautification Award. She was a Tupper Ware dealer for 20 years, and retired after 30 years as a Realtor for RealtySouth and Keller Williams. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Chalkville. She is survived by daughter, Helen Reed Pullen(Wes) of Clay; granddaughter, Sarah Marie Pullen of Auburn; daughter, Ruth Reed Ellis(Don). She was preceded in death by parents, Roscoe and Della Bryson; husband of 54 years, Carlton Eugene Reed. It is requested that everyone wears something yellow. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 11, 2011 from 5pm-7pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 10am at Jefferson Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. After the funeral there is to be a "Going Home Celebration" luncheon at First Baptist Church of Chalkville for family and friends.
