Karin Annette Luck Conniff, 58, of Cleveland, AL passed away in her sleep at home peacefully yet unexpectedly Saturday morning October 8, 2016. Karin was born at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham, AL January 20, 1958 to Arthur "Art" Luck and Ann Rebecca Thompson Luck and was the youngest of their six children. She was a 1976 graduate of Banks High School and attained an Associate's Degree in Electronics at NEC in 1987. She went on to be one of the only women in Alabama to install and service home and industrial security systems. Karin had two beautiful daughters, Stephanie Denise and Sara Ann. She was married in January 1990 to Daniel Conniff of Corinth, MS. In their early years together, Karin owned her own home and industrial security installation and service company which led to her being hired by Southern Company and she quickly rose to become Head of Installation and Maintenance the AL Power Call Security Division and controlled the scheduling of approximately 30 crews state wide, the MS coast and panhandle of Florida. After Power Call Security was discontinued by Southern Company, Karin became a Store Manager for Uncle Bob's Self Storage in Center Point. After proving her competence she was promoted to a storage facility twice the size in Huntsville, AL where she thrived until her passing. Karin is survived by her husband of 26 years, Danny Conniff and her two daughters, Stephanie Luck Landry and Sara Ann Conniff. She is also survived by five siblings Linda "Lin" Gail Luck Waldrop, Donna Marie Luck, David Alan Luck, Rebecca "Becki" Ann Luck Brey and Julie Christine Luck Vaughan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving parents Art and Ann Luck. Karin had beautiful green eyes, an infectious smile and a hearty laugh that will be missed by all. She was a sensitive person, with a no nonsense style, but she had a warm and generous nature and would gladly lend help or support to everyone she loved. Karin loved to watch college football. In particular any Auburn or Alabama games. She was also an accomplished Texas Holdem player who played in many online and live tournaments. She was extremely smart and perceptive. She loved her family and friends with all of her heart. Visitation will be from 4pm until 6pm Thursday with services following. A private family only burial will follow later.
