Julius Franks

Julius Oliver Franks, age 95 passed away on October 19, 2023 in Birmingham, Alabama.  He was visited by many family members on his last day of life, including his wife of 75 years, Iva Lee Franks.  While the family is saddened by his passing, they are overjoyed that he has been reunited with many friends and family members who have gone before him.  Julius was a hardworking man, devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church Trussville and a former member of Ruhama Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.  Julius leaves behind his family to cherish his memory:  loving wife Iva Lee Franks, daughter Penny Dorsett (Banks Dorsett), grandchildren Holley Martin (David Martin), great grandchildren Isabella and Levi Martin, sister Betty Plyler (Robert Plyler), and brother Dave Franks (Pat Franks).  Graveside arrangements will be made for immediate family at Jefferson Memorial Gardens Trussville Alabama.  Any donations in his honor can be made to the First Baptist Church of Trussville, Alabama.
