Judith Diane Clyburn

Funeral Services for Ms. Judith Diane Clyburn, age 84 of Birmingham, will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church of Centerpoint with Pastor Donna Godwin and Pastor Mark Clyburn officiating. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.

Judith Diane Clyburn passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025 at the age of 84 at her home in Birmingham, Alabama

Judy was born February 28, 1941 in Crossett, Arkansas to James and Dorothy Armstrong. She attended college at the University of Arkansas. After graduating college she taught school in Arkansas. She then went to work for the BellSouth for 18 years and Hallmark for several years before retiring. Judy enjoyed playing cards, working puzzles, Saturday football and spending time with family and friends. She was an active member of Center Point Methodist Church for over 50 years. Her unwavering faith guided her as a Sunday school teacher, a member of the United Methodist Women and many other positions in the church.

Judy will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and diligence.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Armstrong and her sister, Nancy Lynn Riley. She is survived by her loving family - three children Lesley Steber (Tom), Amy McGucken (Ben), Mark Clyburn (Allison). Seven grandchildren Kyle McGucken (Mikaela) Cullen Steber, Patrick McGucken (Audrey), Madeline Clyburn, Emily Steber, Emma Clyburn (Matt Oliver) and Jack McGucken. One Great grandchild Aiden Vincent McGucken.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 1:00 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church of Centerpoint.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Center Point United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
