Joyce Cannon Cranford 88 year of age of Birmingham, Alabama slipped away in her sleep to be with the Lord on March 21, 2021 at home surrounded by family, after a courageous fight against the cancer that took her away.
Born in Birmingham Alabama on November 2, 1932 to Harold Dunbar Cannon and Bertha Mae Leesburg. She grew up in Birmingham graduated from Westend High School
Preceded in death by her parents Harold Dunbar Cannon and Bertha Mae Leesburg Davis, Step Father Albert Davis, and brother Harold Dunbar Cannon II
She is survived by her sister Norma Jean Cannon Scholl (Maryland). Her daughters Judith Diane Savant (Joe) Birmingham, Elizabeth Ellen Riddle (Ken) Hoover, Karen Lenore Spencer (Michael) Mississippi. Ten Grandchildren Travis DeLano (Amy), Joseph Savant (Stephanie), Megan Hemmeger (David), Chris Riddle (Ariel), Matthew Riddle, Tara Baker, Rebecca Hughes (Scott), Michael Drew Spencer (Anastasia), Eric Spencer (Stacie), Amie Schmidt (Brendon). 21 Great Grandchildren, 3 Nephews, 3 Nieces (and their children)
For many years she worked as a Legal Secretary with Bradley, Arant, Rose & White. She retired in 1998. And became active in the community as an election pole worker from retirement to 2019.
The family will receive Thursday, March 25, 2021 beginning at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Friday, March 26, 2021 up until the Chapel Service at 12:00 noon. Entombment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
