Joy White

Joy Elizabeth Fortenberry White, age 79 of Pinson, passed away on January 13, 2016. She was a member of Palmerdale United Methodist Church. Joy was a loving and caring Minister's Wife, Mother, Sunday School Teacher and a great servant of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mirbel Fortenberry; and brother, William Joseph Fortenberry. Joy is survived by her loving husband, Roy White; daughters, Gail Hallmark (Dwight) and Ann Bush (Ricky); sons, Steve White (Melissa) and Nathan White (Karen); 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; and sister, Nila Mae Gable. Services will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 1:00pm at Palmerdale United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 11:00AM until 1:00PM at the church. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Garden East. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Corinthian Fund at Palmerdale United Methodist Church or the Revolution Church in Blount County. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
