Joshua Caidyn Harrington, age 15, went to Heaven on May 27, 2024. He was born on November 18, 2008, in Birmingham, Alabama. He loved living in Alabaster and attended Thompson High School. Caidyn was very outgoing and loved his family, friends and cherished his time spent with everyone. His biggest passions were his love of baseball, hunting deer and spending time hanging out with his friends. Caidyn always had the ability to make anyone smile with his goofy personality; HE LOVED HARD AND PLAYED EVEN HARDER. He is survived by his parents, Jack and Amy Harrington; a younger sister, Skilyr Harrington; grandparents, John and Shirley Pate, Diane Corkery, Bill and Ginny Harrington, and Donna Davis; uncles and aunts, Jeff Davis and John Ambrose, Belinda Kaylor, Johnny (Kelly) Harrington, Lisa (Tim) Clayton, Bo (Amy) Harrington. God parents Byron and Cindy Smith and numerous cousins. He is also survived by foster siblings, Nicholas (Nic) and Yesenia (Sissy) Rodriguez.
Caidyn is also survived by his best friend, Jack Davis, and a tribe of coaches and brothers of the Thompson Warriors Baseball family. Family, friends and others are invited to Church of the Highlands Alabaster Campus on Monday, June 3, 2024 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm for the visitation. The service will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, June 3, 2024 to celebrate and honor the life of Caidyn and to praise God for lending him to us.
Caidyn did not like to dress up. To honor his love of Thompson Warrior and Mississippi State baseball, the family encourages family and friends to wear their favorite Thompson Warrior attire or black and red or maroon.
Caidyn was not a traditional flowers person. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the First Baptist Church Alabaster Student Ministry or the Thompson High School Baseball Program (through Thompson High School).
