Joshua Copeland

Joshua Cody Copeland "Cheeks", age 17, of Trussville, was received by his heavenly Father on February 15, 2015. He attended Church of the Highlands, loved SCUBA diving, Karate, Sailing, Surfing, Kayaking, and Lacrosse. He had planned to join the military after high school. He was preceded in death by his grandfather David Dowda, and great grandfather James Scott. Visitation will be from 3:30 until 4:30pm Wednesday February 18, with a memorial service at 4:30pm at Church of the Highlands. He is survived by his father Jason and Traci Copeland, mother Karen and Richard Jaynes, sisters Ashley Copeland, Taylor Newman, Makenzie Latham and Rachel Jaynes, grandparents James and Joyce Copeland, Carolyn Dowda, Thomas and Nell Sherer, Linda Wyatt, Grady Jaynes, Ruth Scott, Joyce and Wade Sneed, uncles Chris and Anisa Dowda, James Jr. and Amy Copeland, nephew Christian Jaynes, numerous cousins and other family.
