Joseph Marshall

Joseph Steve Marshall of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on October 30, 2022, at the age of seventy-four. He was born on November 19, 1947, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to Joseph Lee and Mary Lucille Marshall. Steve graduated high school and attended college in Tuscaloosa. Steve served a tour of duty with the Army in Vietnam, where he was an expert with the M16 and earned several medals. Steve later served in the Navy Reserve. He retired from the state of Alabama. Steve enjoyed reading, music, drinking coffee and reminiscing with others. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph, and Mary Marshall. He is survived by his wife, Julia "Judi" Marshall, daughter, Scarlett Holt (Bobby), son, Jonathan Marshall, grandchildren, Julia Fleming (Tyler), Alexis Marshall, Tristan Holt, Kaylin Marshall, Jonathan Marshall, Jr, a host of great-grandchildren and two brothers, Stanley Marshall, and Alan Marshall. Steve will be loved, missed, and always remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. Visitation will be at 11am, followed by services and graveside on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens: 1591 Gadsden Highway Birmingham, Alabama 35235.
