Joseph Griggs

Joseph Arland Griggs, age 79, of the Fairhaven Retirement Community, died September 7, 2009. He was born on January 18, 1930 in Blount County. He was the 9th of twelve children born to Claude and Josie Griggs. Graveside services will be on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 3pm with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens Trussville. Visitation will be one hour before services. Larry Smith officiating. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Lillian Layfield Griggs, daughter Sherrie Baty, sons Larry and Garry Griggs, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
