On the morning of Oct. 20th lives would forever change. Jordan "Alexa" Mays Matson was taken from us far too early. She was born March 30th 1990 in Birmingham and has continued to live around the same area until this day. After graduating from Cosmetology School 5 years ago, she was hired on at Studio 21 Salon as a stylist. She quickly grew into one of the most requested stylist in the Salon. What she enjoyed most in life was being a loving wife and mother. From her contagious smile on her face to the glow of life in her eyes, she was the peak of your day. If you ever met her you would never forget her. Jordan was preceded in death by her grandmother Myra Gale Mays, and grandfather Bob Dudzinski. Jordan leaves behind her loving husband, Nathan Matson and adorable son Maddoc, father and mother Jeff and Debra Mays, sister Jessi Mays, grandparents Dale Mays, Ellen and Ronnie Cook, other survivors include mother in law Julia Gibbs Matson, brother in law David Matson, father in law Michael Matson, step mother in law Pam Matson, multiple aunts, uncles, cousins extended family members and countless friends. Chapel services will be held on Monday, Oct 26, at 10am with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be from 5pm until 7pm Sunday.
