Johnny Anthony Graffeo, age 81, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on Monday May 25, 2015. He was a graduate of Woodlawn High School. He attended the University of Alabama and was first chair trumpet in the Million Dollar Band. He was a member of Kappa Psi and Alpha Phi Alpha fraternities. He graduated from Howard College School of Pharmacy in 1956. Johnny's 50 year career as a pharmacist included working in several noted local pharmacies; highlighted when he opened his own pharmacy, "Johnny's Pharmacy". He retired from Plott and Campbell Drugs with a 20 plus year tenure. He still continued to work during his retirement at B & K Pharmacy. He was a member and past president of the Jefferson County Pharmaceutical Association. He enjoyed boating, painting and photography. He was an expert marksman and a member of the NRA. He was a member of Huffman United Methodist Church, where he taught the adult Sunday school class. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Christy Graffeo and his grandson, Garin Andrew Wallace. He is survived by his daughter, Terri Graffeo McCay (Jeff Morris), grandson Kyle Gavin McCay and wife Andrea, and a wonderful array of loving family and friends. Services will be Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 12 PM, visitation preceding at 11 AM. Pastor Brian Hinton will be officiating over the services. The burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East, Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
