John Ronilo

John Ronilo, born November 5, 1922 to Michael and Mary Ronilo of Wylam, AL, passed away on January 1, 2009. John graduated from Ensley High School and served in the US Army in World War II stationed in the Philippines and New Guinea. Afterwards he began a civilian government service in 1947 and retired from the US Treasury Department after thirty seven years of service as Deputy Director of the Regional Disbursing Center. He and Susie have been members of the Presbyterian Church since their marriage in 1947 and currently at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Trussville. Survivors include his loving wife of 62 A½ years, Susie Ann Nix Ronilo; their daughters, Susan R. Caraway and her husband Mike of Argo and Stephanie R. Earley and her husband Bobby of Alpharetta, GA; five grandchildren, Holly Caraway, Lauren Caraway and her fianceI�, Rees Winstead of Austin, TX, Rachel Earley, John Michael Caraway and Kayley Earley; one sister, Julia (Mrs. Jake Lucia) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his other siblings, Edward Ronilo, Mike Ronilo, Helen (Mrs. Robert "Pete" Jones) and Carl Ronilo. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 4 from 5:00 i�½" 7:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Chapel services will be held on Monday, January 5 at 12PM with Richard Hanna officiating and burial to follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
