John Reynolds Iii

John Elmer Reynolds III, aged 74, of Irondale, AL, passed away on 6 March, 2022 at his residence.  He was born, raised and spent most of his life in Alabama, principally in Birmingham and Montgomery.  Attending both Auburn and Alabama Universities earning a degree in journalism.  He spent his early work years as a reporter in Boca Raton, FL before returning to Birmingham.  John was an avid sports fan, closely following the Auburn Tigers.  He enjoyed the occasional visit to the Birmingham Race Course in his later years.  Gardening was a favorite pastime.  He is survived by three nephews; David Osborne, Dean Osborne and Scott Chappelear; his dear friend, Greg Jewell; and many other loving friends.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Clyde Reynolds, and father, John Reynolds.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  Graveside service will begin at 2pm on 26 March, 2022, at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.
