John Manning

Mr. John P. Manning, Sr., of Birmingham, passed away on August 22, 2015. He worked for Southern Railroad for 45 years. He was also a member of the American Legion and the VFW Post 668. He had a great love for his 3 dogs, growing his own tomatoes, and was an avid yard sale shopper. Mr. Manning was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Helen M. Manning; and his brother Frank Manning. He is survived by his son, John P. Manning, Jr. (Susan); his nephew, Mark Manning; his granddaughter, Arminda Walker; and his great granddaughter, Abigaile Reese Walker. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 from 6 until 8pm at Jefferson Memorial Trussville. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Jefferson Memorial Trussville, with Bro. Dewey Corder officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
