John Drinkard

John Elmer Drinkard, age 89 of Birmingham, AL passed away on June 16, 2014. He was a retired Birmingham Fire Fighter after 35 years of service. He was a member of Ruhama Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp, where he served in WWII in the Pacific Theater. He is survived by his daughter, Linda D. Warren; son, Randy C. Drinkard; sisters, Christine D. Fourroux and Dorothy D. Garringer; grandchildren, Michelle D. McElroy and Matthew A. Drinkard; three great grandchildren. Private services will be held with military honors. Rev. Ryan Whitley will be officiating over the services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45253-0301.
