John Bookout

BOOKOUT, JOHN J. Age 80, of Birmingham, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 15, 2012. Mr. Bookout served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was a car salesman in the Birmingham area for 40 years. He is preceded in death by his youngest son, David J Bookout. John is survived by his wife, Beulah Bookout; his son, John Steven (Sandy) Bookout; daughter-in-law, Julie Bookout, five grandchildren, Keith Bookout, John David (Kellye) Bookout, Megan (Lee) Webb, Lauren and Emily Bookout; 2 grandchildren, Jackson and Finn Bookout; and two sisters, Barbara Hughes and Freda Cannon and many nieces and nephews. John was a people person. He could strike up a conversation with anyone, find a common bond and walk away with a new friend...a friend that would always remember the name John Bookout. John was a Christian and an active member of the First Baptist Church of Pinson. He will be greatly missed by many. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 Noon with service immediately following at First Baptist Pinson. Interment will be at Freewill Memorial in West Jefferson.
