Joe Knight

Joe Knight, age 83, of Birmingham, passed away October 18, 2011. He was retired from Drennen Cadillac as a master mechanic with 35 years of service. He was a member of Bluff Park United Methodist Church and a former member of Centerpoint Baptist Church from 1962-2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Lewis Knight and Ruth Morgan Knight, and by brother: Robert, Lewis, Frank and John. Services will be held on Friday, Oct 21 at 10am in the Chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Reverend Reid Crotty of Bluff Park United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be from 5pm until 7pm Thursday. He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years Juanita McKay Knight, loving father to: daughter Debra Drennen (Doug), sons, James Henderson, Joe M. Knight (Marlene), faithful brother to: sister Mary Elizabeth Knight, adoring grandfather to: Holly Henderson, Lauren Johnson (Steve), Katlin Welbourn (Casey), Amanda Bowden (Josh), Joseph Ward (Lindsey), Reid Knight, Colin Knight, and Abbie Grace Knight, great grandchildren Henry Joseph Bowden and Graham Douglas Bowden, other survivors: niece Janice Knight, nephews Bobby Knight (Fayne) and Lewis Knight (Darcy).
