Joanne Lindsey

Joanne J. Lindsey, age 78 of Center Point, AL passed away on March 31, 2016. She was originally from her beloved Seattle, WA and moved to Alabama on her honeymoon in 1964. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was a member of the UMW and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed camping and boating with her family. She spent a lifetime sewing and had a passion for crocheting. Her favorite music was country and western. She loved cats and has always had cats in her home. She spent many hours in the kitchen cooking, baking and canning. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warner R. Lindsey. She is survived by her daughter, Rita C. Denson (Chris); sons, Charles W. Lindsey, Barry R. Lindsey and Jason E. Lindsey; grandchildren, Lindsey D. Holland (Drew) Jonathan Denson (Brittany), Ryan Denson, Ashleigh N. Lindsey, Alexis P. Lindsey, Adam N. Lindsey and Dolorean R. Lindsey. Services will be on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 10 AM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to service.
