Jimmy Smith

Jimmy Lelton Smith, 69, of Trussville, AL passed away Friday, March 21, 2014. He was a graduate of Woodlawn High School and attended Birmingham Southern College. He served in the United States Army Reserves for eight years and was retired from BellSouth Telecommunications with 32 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Trussville. He was preceded in death by his father, Marshall Willard Smith; his mother, Bessie Bradford Smith; and his brother, Eldridge Smith. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years; Elizabeth Moore Smith; his children, Amanda Smith Jefferies (David) of Birmingham, Al, Morgan Bradford Smith of Durham, N.C.; his brother, Scott Marshall Smith (Sonya); his grandchildren Elizabeth Grace Jefferies, a granddaughter to be; three nieces, and five nephews. Funeral services will be held at Jefferson Memorial Trussville on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 2:00p.m. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. immediately preceding the service.
