Turner, Jimmie Nell James, age 69 of Trussville died August 10, 2008. She was the daughter of Claude and Jewel James of Adamsville. Jimmie Nell graduated from Corner High School where she was a cheerleader and la majorette. She was married to Julian Hugh Turner for 47 years. She was a devoted homemaker, mother, and Army wife who traveled extensively in the United States and several foreign countries supporting her husband in his U.S. Army career and promotion to Lt. Colonel. She was a member of The Healing Place Church. She was preceded in death by her daughter: Elizabeth Garrison and her sister, Betty L. Dozier. She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Zieziula (Henry) and Linda Harris (Scott), grandchildren, Jordan & Jarred Smith and Nicole & Daniel Harris, brother, Charles James (Jimmie Nell), sister, Shirley Richards (Charles).
Visitation will be held at Jefferson Memorial Trussville from 5-7pm Tuesday, August 12, 2008. Chapel services will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at 10:00am with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Trussville. Pastor Robby James officiating. The family deeply appreciates all the prayers and support shown during Mrs. Turner's illness. Special thanks to the nursing staff and physicians who treated her at St Vincent's East Hospital.
