Jewell Winsett

Jewell Winsett, of Birmingham, Al, passed away on June 1, 2018. She was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church. She worked in the lunchroom at Clay Schools for over 15 years. Jewell would spend hours in her yard making her garden beautiful. She also loved spending time watching Alabama Football. Jewell is preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph; son, Steven Gary; sister, Margaret Smith. She is survived by her two daughters, Patty Tyson (David) and Jennie Kimbrough; sister-in-law, Flo Stocker; her two brothers, Leon and Carly Johnston; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Jewell is also survived by her best friends of over 60 years, Buddy and Jean Smith as well as many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday June 5, 2018 from 11 am – 12 pm at Jefferson Memorial. Funeral service will be held at 12pm following visitation with burial immediately afterward. Pastor Larry Wimberly presiding.
