Jewell Parks

Jewell F Parks, age 84, of Leeds, Alabama passed away November 30, 2020. She was a lifelong resident of Alabama, born on June 4, 1936 to Leonard and Odessa Fletcher.
She is survived by her 4 children; Lane Parks (Jeannie) of Millington TN, Mark Parks of Idaho Falls ID, Boni Parks of Tuscaloosa AL, and Jana Clements of Leeds AL. She if also survived by 6 grandchildren: Christopher Parks, James Matthew Parks (Valerie), Daniel Parks (Darla), Jason Chandler, Michael Chandler and Kristina Howard; 16 great-grandchildren; By her, much loved brother, James Fletcher (Joline) and sister-in-law Jimmie Lee Fletcher. Also, numerous cousins, friends and other family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Curtis Fletcher and Odessa Calhoun Fletcher, brother Thomas 'Milton' Fletcher, husband of 40 years James Edward Parks, daughter-in-law Dee Parks, and grandson Harvey Chandler III.
She graduated from Etowah High School, with honors, in 1954. She retired from Golden Flake Snack Foods after 31 years, as a Quality Control Technician. She enjoyed cooking/baking, reading, crossword puzzles, scrapbooking and spending time with friends and family.
Funeral services will be held at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville, Alabama  on Saturday, December 5 2020. Visitation will be at 1:00 pm. Chapel service at 2:00. Burial will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial's adjoining cemetery.
