Jessie Mckee

Mrs. Jessie Lou McKee, age 100 of Pinson, died Friday, July 27, 2012 at Hanceville Nursing Home. A retired LPN, Mrs. McKee was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pinson. She loved life, nature, and the Lord, and was a saved Christian. Mrs. McKee was preceded in death by her husband, Onas McKee Sr., as well as her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Harden. She leaves to cherish her memory her 7 sons: Onas (Inez), Bobby (Jo), Neal (Jean), Charles (Gwen), Harold D. (Annette), Wade (Pat), and Joel (Vanessa) McKee; 23 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, 23 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at First Baptist Pinson on Monday, July 30 from 10am til 12pm, with lunch being served from 12-12:50 pm. Funeral service will be in the sanctuary at 1:00pm with the Rev. David Awtrey officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East in Trussville. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Mrs. McKee's memory to the cemetery fund of Springfield Baptist Church, 4507 Co. Rd. 442 Brundidge, AL 36010.
