Jessie Gilbert

Jessie C. "Jay" Gilbert, age 67, of Springville, passed away May 4, 2009. He was retired from General Steel Tank Company after 24 years and All South Subcontractors with 24 years of service. He was a member of Springville First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Nora Gilbert, brother Robert "Buddy" Gilbert, and sister Marie Spencer. Services will be on Thursday, May 7, at 2pm in the Chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens Trussville. Dr. Keith Wrenn officiating. Visitation will be from 3 until 7pm Wednesday. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Brenda Gilbert, daughter Kathy Brooks, son Kevin Gilbert, granddaughter Madison Gilbert, sisters Velma Sadler, Betty (Pete) Traina, Tavie Albright, Edna Hernandez, numerous nieces and nephews.
