Jerry Sulzby

SULZBY, JERRY

age 68, of Irondale, passed away on January 23, 2013. Jerry grew up in Homewood, AL. He attended Shades Valley High School and played college baseball at University of North Alabama. Jerry began a career in steel industry in his 20's and after retiring from the steel industry became a sales manager for staffing services in the metro Birmingham area. Later he worked in the restoration and remodeling industry where he was highly respected.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Suzby.

He is survived his wife, Brenda. He is also survived by his son, Jay Sulzby (Kim); daughter, Renae Roman; stepchildren, Thomas Bearden (Jennifer) and Natalie Stinson (Grant); grandchildren, Corey, Manson, Jacob, Cameron, Brannon, Jessie, Sadie, John Thomas, and Nash; brother, Phillip Sulzby (Susan); sister, Betty Yarbrough, Gayle Lowe and Mary Jo Murphy (Ron).

Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Brother John Foles will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to American Cancer Society. Jefferson Memorial directing.
