Jerry Stone

Jerry Davis Stone, age 66 of Trussville, AL passed away on July 1, 2012. He graduated from the University of Montevallo. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War era. He retired from Jefferson State Community College after 27 years of service. Jerry was an avid fisherman and an accomplished carpenter, building many pieces of furniture. Everyone knew him for the countless hours he spent keeping his lawn and flower gardens. He will truly be missed by everyone who knew him. He is preceded in death by his brother, Fred Wyche Stone. Jerry leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Glenda H. Stone, his children, Spencer Stone (Leilani), Greg Gardner (Danielle), and Shellie Hyatt (John). He was a doting granddaddy to Vaughan Stone, Nicholas and Peyton Hyatt also nieces, Nancy Morehead, Lee Askew and one nephew, Fred Masterson. Services will be on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 12:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to the services. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
