Jerry Cryder

Jerry Otis Cryder, 55, of Leeds, Alabama, passed away on Friday, October 13 due to complications from a motor vehicle accident earlier this year. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. Jerry was born in Newport News, Virginia on June 9, 1962. He graduated from Huffman High School in Birmingham. Jerry was married to Tammy LePrell on February 11, 1996. They were married 21 years. Jerry worked in the Maintenance Department for Buffalo Rock in Birmingham. He enjoyed University of Alabama football, fishing, woodworking, and watching movies. Jerry is survived by his wife Tammy LePrell Cryder; his daughter Heather Leighann Cryder; step daughters Donna LePrell and Brandy Watkins; step grandchildren Andrew Watkins, Madison Blankenship, and Jonathan Blankenship; mother Isabelle Cryder; and sister Bethany Cryder. Jerry is preceded in death by his father Warren "Jerry" Cryder, birth mother Janet Merle Freeman Cryder, brother Terrence Cryder, and grandparents. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Children's Hospital of Alabama.
