Jerry Wayne Bailey

September 17, 1974-January 20, 2017

Mr. Bailey was a 1992 graduate of Hewett-Trussville High School and 2004 graduate of Jefferson State Community College and a member of Holy Infant of Prague Catholic Church of Trussville. Mr. Bailey battled with Testicular Cancer with mix germ and tumors for 20 years with extensive treatments and surgeries. Preceded in death by grandparents, Frank and Frances Pocopanni, Robert and Florence Bailey; and father Ronald E. (Butch) Bailey. Mr. Bailey is survived by mother, Anna (Pocopanni) Bailey; sister, Angela (Tommy) Schauer; and niece, Bella of Trussville, Al. Mr. Bailey will be remembered by many relatives, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whom he loved. Mr. Bailey enjoyed family gatherings and gaming with a group of friends any time he had the opportunity. Jerry had a special saying: I am thankful for my faith, family and friends which kept me straight and focus. Jerry liked to tell stories about his experiences of different foods and showed knowledge of finance and history. Jerry, you always had a big heart and kept it filled with happiness; your fascinating mind kept you finding new ways to grow. You always had a smile no matter how you were feeling; always remember that a parent's love goes with you... everywhere you go; you will be loved and greatly missed. Family and friends will be received on January 25, 2017 for viewing at 10:00 AM with the Mass to follow at 11:00 AM with Father Jerry Deasy at Holy Infant of Prague Catholic Church 8090 Gadsden Highway, Trussville, Al 35173.
