Jerald Carter Todd, age 70, of Pinson, AL passed away on May 9,2010 after a 4 year hard and strong battle with cancer. He retired from Square D Company after 30 years of service and currently was the co-owner of Ole' Towne Reality with Sue Bowden. Jerald was a member of Parkway Christian Church. He graduated from Woodlawn High School and Jeff State Jr. College. He coached and taught gymnastic for 30 years with his own team JT Gemstars. Jerald had a love for many activities including; playing golf, scuba diving, playing all types of musical instruments and also acquiring his pilot's license. He is preceded in death by his parents, Croy S. and Gladys Carter Todd. His survivors include his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 48 years, Jean Todd; daughter, Michele Leamon (Jeff) of Sunvalley, Idaho; sons, Michael Carter Todd (Christina) and Justin Burnett Todd of Pinson ; sister, Janet Richardson(Jerry-deceased) of Huntsville; grandchildren, Chase and Sawyer Leamon, Jacob Carter Todd, and Cassie Norris; nephew, Rodney Richardson(Sally). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 from 1pm until 2pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 2:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Ed Henson will be officiating the services. A special thanks to daughter-in-law Christina Todd for all her help with caring for her father-in-law Jerald Todd and to all the nurses with Holistic Healthcare.
