Jennie Glanton

Jennie Glanton, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025, in Birmingham, Alabama, after a courageous five-year battle with Parkinson’s and dementia. She is now at rest with our Savior.Known for her warm heart, unwavering faith, and devotion to her family, Jennie also had a passion for life. She was an avid tennis player and an accomplished, published seamstress whose creations brought joy to many.Jennie is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Rufus "Whitey" Glanton; her two sons, Kenneth and Tommy Glanton; and her three cherished grandchildren, Lydia, Benjamin, and Dempsey Glanton. Her legacy of love and resilience lives on in their hearts.A celebration of Jennie’s life will be held at Jefferson Memorial in Birmingham, Alabama, on January 23, 2025 at 12pm.     Jennie will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered. May she rest in peace.
