Janice Lee Phillips

Janice Lee Phillips, age 89, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 09. She is survived by her husband of 73 years Charles Phillips, children Pam Simpson(Bubba); Jan Paseur (Lynn); Kris Burnett (John); Julie Sparks (Alan). She was a beloved Grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Harold S. and Julia M. Cunningham and brothers Ted and Ralph Cunningham. Janice was a Birmingham native and a long time member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church where she was an avid participant on the prayer team. She spent many years nurturing in the children's ministry in and outside of her church home. Janice enjoyed spending time with her dearest friends and family playing bridge and bunco.She took delight in crafts for her family members and loved ones that will serve as memories of her for years to come. Janice was a beacon of unwavering friendship and kindness, and left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. Proud of her family and known for her faith, she will be deeply missed.

Janice's visitation will be held at 11:00 in the morning on January 17,2025 at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville, Alabama, with her celebration of life beginning at 12:00 in the Chapel. The service will be in care of Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens, officiated by Reverend Jamie Walley and Mark Enoch. Bearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church in honor of Janice’s memory.
