Janette Allen

Mrs. Janette Allen, 87, of Chelsea passed away on August 11, 2017. She was a homemaker to her loving family and was a devoted member of Mt. Signal Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elam A. Allen, brothers, Ray and Levi Purvis, sisters, Bertha Pugh and Gladys Huggins, and parents, William Leonard and Eva Huggins Purvis. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Crumpton (Levi), sons, Tim and Byron Allen, grandchildren, Jarrod Allen (Stacy), Chase Allen (Danielle), Matthew Allen (Ashley), Mallie Crumpton, and Erica Kindurys (Wes), great-grandchildren, Attie Harvey, Jude Allen, and Eva Allen, and brother, Roy Purvis. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00pm from the funeral home chapel with Brother Leonard Irvin officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Mt. Signal Baptist Church at 7491 Old Highway 280, Chelsea, AL 35147. Isaiah 35:10 and the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
