They moved from Birmingham to Huntsville in the mid 50s and began raising their two sons there. She was a mother, homemaker and flower show judge while Jim began his 34 year career with NASA. She later worked for several Huntsville physicians heading the billing and insurance activities in their practices. After both her and Jim retired they spent much of their time fishing, hiking and visiting the Smokie Mountain area each fall. They moved from their home of 40 years in 2013 into assisted living and began a new chapter of their lives together there.
