Hancock, Jane, October 29, 1920-February 1, 2010. Our mother was born in Jackson, Tennessee on October 29, 1920. As a young lady, she moved to Birmingham, Alabama where she later married James Odell Hancock (Odell) in 1939. Jane and Odell had four children: James Odell Hancock Jr. (Beverly) of Titusville, Fl; Linda Moore (Charles) of Kansas City Mo; William Hancock (Myra) of Orlando Fl; and Carolyn Hancock of Titusville, Fl. Jane had four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Mother moved with her family to Titusville, Florida in 1965 where she was a deputy sheriff for the Brevard County Sheriff's Department until her retirement. She loved cooking great southern food, painting, and spending time with her family. Mother lived in her home in Titusville, Florida until hospitalized for illness. She left this life for another on February 1, 2010. She will be laid to rest alongside her first love in Birmingham, Alabama on Monday, February 8, 2010, at 3pm Graveside services. Visitation will be from 2pm until 3pm Monday. We will miss you always Mother but we celebrate your life and hold you in our hearts. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
