Both were graduates of Tarrant High School. Former owners of D & Me in Tarrant. Kenny (Foots) was employed at ACIPCO for 42 years. Both were very active in the community of Tarrant, working with the schools, sports and city activities. They were active members of Boyles Baptist Church for many years and most recently were active members of Restoration Christian Fellowship. They are preceded in death by father's, James P. Sims and Oliver Hope, mother, Myrtle Sims and nephew, Todd Hope. They are survived by mother, Imogene Hope; brother, Carl Hope (Denise); son, Jimmy Sims (Lisa); daughter, Kim Cooper (Darron); grandchildren, Taylor Sims, Maggie Sims, MyChale Cooper and Roman Cooper; nieces and nephews, Wendy, Jennifer, Melissa, Jason, Ritchie and Leigh Ann; great nieces and nephews, Lane, Lily, Chase, Jackson, Brooks, Jace, Alyssa, Cash and J.T. along with many extended family and friends. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 4 to 8 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be on Thursday at 1 PM in the chapel at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Rev. Rick Vinson and Rev. Garry Eudy will be officiating over the services. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
