James Seal

October 30, 1922 — February 18, 2020

James R. Seal of Birmingham, AL, age 97, passed away peacefully with his family present Tuesday, February 18 at the Roberts L. Howard Veterans Home in Pell City, AL. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Pauline Pouncey Seal, and his parents, Delbert G. Seal and Chester Green Seal. He is survived by his son Eddie Seal (Barbara) of Trussville, AL; his sister, Georgia Ruth Duncan, of St Louis, Missouri; his grandchildren, Brian Seal, of Trussville, AL, Adam Seal (Lindsey), of Birmingham, AL, Lauren Seal Reynolds (David), of Trussville, AL; his great-grandchildren, Barrett and Wyatt Seal, of Birmingham, AL, and Everly Reynolds of Trussville, AL; and a number of nieces and nephews. Jim was a retired US Air Force veteran of WWII retiring from the service in 1963 and was an Alabama Park Ranger. He was a dedicated Patriot that loved God, family, and this country. His family is very proud of his military service and his sacrifices for his country. Visitation will be at 11:00 Monday, February 24th at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with funeral services at 12:00. He will be buried beside his loving wife at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
