Roberson, James C., age 77, of Birmingham, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, March 31, surrounded by his loving family. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War and a brickmason for over 40 years. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Barnabas Catholic Church on Thursday, April 2, at 10am with Monsignor Eugene O'Connor officiating. Visitation will be held from 8:30am until 9:30am prior to the Mass. Burial services will be held at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Trussville. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Barnabas School Endowment fund. He is survived by his wife of fifty eight years, Jean Camp Roberson; son, James C. Roberson, Jr. (Shannon) of Oneonta, daughters, Kathy Thompson (Jim) of Orange Beach, Karen Globetti (Chip) of Jasper, Kim Walker of Spanish Fort, Kay Carroll (Ricky) of Springville; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Survivors also include his sister, Mary Camp (Jimmy) of Birmingham and brother, William Roberson (Juanita) of Cullman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sophie Roberson, brother, Bobby Roberson and granddaughter, Kimberly Osborne. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Allyson Camp Scott, his niece, for the loving care she provided during his final days. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Jeff Osborne, Jake Walker, Joey Globetti, Grady Hart, Chandler Hart, and Chase Osborne. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his love for his family, and the many blessings he gave us during his last days.
