Frank was born in Montgomery, Alabama at Maxwell Air Force Base in 1950 to James A. Price and Margaret A. Price (Hudson). Frank was partially raised by his beloved Aunt Jesse Adams and her husband Roy Adams. Frank was the oldest child of 7 siblings. Frank attended Marbury High School before studying at Alexander City Community College and would eventually earn his BS in Sociology at Bellevue University in Omaha Nebraska in 1999. Frank enlisted in the United States Air Force in December 1971 and had a highly distinguished and decorated military career for 21 years retiring as a MSGT in 1992. Upon retiring from the USAF, Frank worked as a civilian contractor to the military at Incirlik AFB outside of Adana, Turkiye before moving to Omaha Nebraska where he worked at a Commercial Real Estate firm. Upon moving back to Alabama he worked at the state EMA department retiring in 2012 to Fort Walton Beach, Florida. During his career Frank traveled the United States and over seas and was able to embrace and immerse himself in many cultures and enjoy the world, taking his children with him on experiences that would change their lives.
Frank’s interests and hobbies included golfing, bowling, sports cars, airplanes, museums, traveling, attending rocket launches across the US, learning, building, repairing things, and Alabama Football. A great achievement later in life was that he completed a 5k and half marathon.
Frank never met a stranger, and if you knew him then you knew why. He would make conversation with a stranger next to him in the grocery check out line and would have people two lanes over joining in and laughing along with his stories. His kindness and smile were infectious. If you knew him, even if you had just met him you would have felt like you knew him already. To his children he was the best father and grandfather, the love and support he showed them was unmeasured. He will be greatly missed and his memory will be cherished and honored each and every day.
Frank was preceded in death by his mother and father, brother Phillip Price and sister Dorothy (Culver), half brother Patrick, half sisters Dixie and Marlene, very special Aunt Jesse Adams and is survived by his three children Staci, Leslie and Josh, grandson Foster, half brother Robert VanCleaf, special cousin Aaron Adams along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and a loving family that surrounded him.
