James Mcmurrey

James "Vernon" McMurrey, 87, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, March 19, 2021. Mr. McMurrey is preceded in death by his wife Betty Love McMurrey, son Vernon Lee McMurrey, son Timothy Chad McMurrey, grandson Scott McMurrey, parents Glen McMurrey and Viola Landrum McMurrey, sister Shirley Boyd, brother Doyle McMurrey, and brother Billy McMurrey. He is survived by son Danny McMurrey (Pat), daughter Janice McMurrey, son Owen McMurrey, daughter Jenny Harris (Robert), sister Gayle Graves (Robert), brother Bobby McMurrey, and brother Ricky McMurrey. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. McMurrey's services will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens in Trussville, AL with a visitation from 1-2 P.M. and a service to follow at 2 P.M. in the chapel. Burial will follow the chapel service at Hopewell Baptist Church in Pinson, AL.
