McCormick, James Dennis

James Dennis McCormick, Age 61 of Trussville, Alabama, passed away on January 12, 2017. He was born on June 8, 1955. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence J. McCormick and he is survived by his wife of 32 years, Penny McCormick, daughter, Amy McCormick; son Chris McCormick (Katie); son Ben McCormick; mother, Helen Joyce McCormick; brother Rick McCormick (Cindy); sister, Cindy Price (Mike); grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Cody Riley, and Kaylee McCormick. Dennis was a long-time member of ClearBranch United Methodist Church, and he cherished his church family. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. Dennis was employed for 31 years to Carolina Tractor and Equipment. Visitation will be Sunday January 15, 2017 from 2PM until 3PM at ClearBranch UMC. Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3PM with Rev. Vaughn Stafford, Rev, Jerre Rhoades, and Rev. Tommy Gray officiating. Graveside service will follow at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to ClearBranch United Methodist Church.
