James Long

James Christian "Chris" Long Jr., age 28, of Pinson, passed away June 3, 2014. He was employed with BNC Electronics in Springville and a member and deacon of The Gathering Place. Chapel services will be held on Saturday, June 7 at 2pm with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be from 12pm until 2pm Saturday. He is survived by his wife Jessica Lauren Long, daughter Madalynn Isabell Long, parents James Christian Long Sr. and Brenda Marie Long, sister Lindsey Marie Collier, maternal grandparents Charles Vines and Jimmie L. Vines, paternal Judy Ann Hicks (Don), James N. Long (Christine S.), nephews Kaeson and Kollin Collier. He was a wonderful son, father, husband, brother, uncle and friend to many. He was the greatest son ever and a very caring person who will be missed by everyone. The two greatest loves in his life were the Lord Jesus Christ and his daughter Madelynn. In lieu of flowers an account has been set up at any Regions Bank branch for his daughter Madelynn Isabell Long. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
