James Knight

James D. Knight, age 84 of Birmingham, AL passed away on March 1, 2015. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. He graduated from Howard College in Birmingham, AL. He was a member of the Optimist Club. He was a Navy Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a little league football and baseball coach. He was a past president of the YMCA and the Booster Club for Huffman High School. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sara Rogers and his brothers, Robert and Harold Knight. He is survived by his children, Guy Knight (Lisa), Kim Knight Loris (Nick), Bart Knight (Kim) and Dawn Knight Moseley (Chris); sisters, June Brabham and Louise Holmes; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Services will be on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Workshop, Inc. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
