James "Jim" Kelley

We are sad to announce the passing of James "Jim" Kelley of Crane Hill, Alabama. He died at age 84, peacefully in his home. 

Jim is survived by his wife of 66 years, Syble Kelley, his children Rod Kelley, Keith (Karen) Kelley, Shawn (Becky) Kelley, Kristen Kennedy and Carol Kelley. His Grandchildren, Jonathan (Anna) Kelley, Laura (Ryan) Elm, Vedder (Kendra) Kennedy, Kaitlin Kelley, Aubrin Davis and Ashley Woods. His Great-Grandchildren Rhett Elm, Viera Kennedy, Valor Kennedy and Bentley Woods, his sister, Joyce Snider and a host of nieces and nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents Augusta and Loy Kelley and his brother Glenn Kelley. 

Jim attended Tarrant High School and went on to Auburn University. He retired from Jefferson County as the Chief of Elections after 40 years. His love and his life was his family. He was always there with a helping hand or words of wisdom. He was a humble, honest, selfless, devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and he never met a stranger. He will be missed by everyone he ever came in contact with.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with service following at 2:00 PM.
